XPONENTIAL 2019 – CHICAGO, Illinois — AlarisPro announces the launch of their new mobile application that allows clients to log UAS flights in remote locations. The mobile app is available to Android and Apple users on Google Play and the App Store.
“Off-line logging is a requirement for our clients operating in remote locations supporting missions such as utility surveys, Search and Rescue (SAR), fire surveillance, agricultural mapping, and more” says AlarisPro President Tony Pucciarella. “The new AlarisPro mobile application allows our clients to log their flights on their smart phone without a need for cell coverage or a network connection. The flight logs are automatically synched to their AlarisPro account when their phone regains a connection,” says Pucciarella.
Clients can now access their pilot status, UAS status, and see alerts from AlarisPro and their manufacturers. Common entries such as the date, location, UAS flown, and custom fields can be “pinned” so there’s no need to re-enter them on subsequent flights. “This makes entering precise operational data something that can be done in seconds.” says Pucciarella.
“Our goal at AlarisPro is to provide predictive maintenance tools that inform operations and promote a positive aviation safety culture in the UAS industry. Manned aviation organizations have this culture ingrained in their operations and maintenance. Our plan is to leverage this experience to improve the safety and reliability of our client’s systems and operations.” Pucciarella has decades of experience in aviation safety. He’s a retired Navy Operational Test Pilot that also flew commercially as an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP). His manned-aviation experience includes aircraft ranging from the iconic B-25 to today’s modern business jets.
AlarisPro is a web-based subscription service providing UAS operations and fleet management services to commercial UAS operators and manufacturers. AlarisPro is based on manned-aviation safety and reliability tracking metrics and is designed to improve safety and reliability within the UAS industry. AlarisPro provides detailed reliability data for UAS and their supporting components and subsystems by treating each component (motor, propeller, autopilot, rudder, etc.) as a node of data within a system-of-systems. This information is compiled using flight data from the UAS and is carefully and securely merged with similar information to provide broader reliability and performance metrics across entire fleets of UAS. The resulting data is analyzed using industry-accepted reliability metrics proven in the manned aircraft industry such as Mean Time Between Replacement/Failure (MTBR/MTBF), total fleet time, high-time for UAS/components, and more.
AlarisPro’s mobile application is now available on Google Play and the App Store at no charge to AlarisPro clients. The app is compatible with all modern Android and Apple smart phones. For more information about this and other AlarisPro features, please visit AlarisPro or stop by the AlarisPro Booth #2031 in the Maryland Pavilion during the show.
